In a QEI Exec project model one is able to establish for any point in any structure a range of performance information based on:
- Any resource
- Any grouping of resources
- Any resource or group of resources converted to costs using the Rate Decks
- Actual quantities or Actual costs where appropriate
The performance information is generated as for the entire life of the project and can be shown as a set of curves on a Barchart, a set of data relating to a chosen report date which is displayed for each activity on a Network or Structure, or a table view.
The computed data available at the chosen report date is
- Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP)
- Budget Cost of Work Performed (BCWP)
- Budget Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS)
- Cost Performance Index
- Schedule Performance Index
- Planned Earned Value %
- Actual Earned Value %
It is also possible to display
- Budget at Completion
- Current Estimate at Completion
Unlike other packages, QEI Exec retains the complete progress and actuals update history over the life of the project, allowing a detailed curve to be built up. Predicted performance curves are calculated by combining current schedule and original baseline data, which may include nonlinear resource consumptions and changes to work patterns. QEI Exec also allows progress and actuals to be applied at any point in a structure, taking care of the common situation where progress is reported to a greater level of detail than costs are collected.
