The generic interfaces allow you to import and export data from any other system capable of producing or accepting files in the supported formats, while the wizard based interfaces are specifically designed to assist in exchanging data with popular project management systems.

These interfaces support the transfer of the following types of data:
- WBS / OBS
- Activities
- Relations
- Resource Definitions
- Resource Assignments
- Calendars
QEI Exec users have the option of using the SDK to import or export data via ODBC; this permits the transfer of data between QEI Exec and any other application that uses a relational database.
It is also possible for both products to import vector graphics data in HP-GL or DXF format in order to create maps, symbols or logos.
